It heats up fast with adjustable temperature. Was able to solder my first wire while using the tutorial i fixed the battery terminal wire under remote control. For my son's car and was able to get it working. Within five minutes
Good soldering iron
This small soldering pencil type iron is one of the best I have ever used. The kit is more than complete. Has all you need to do small projects. It has a small temperature control knob that works great. Long enough cord. Comes with adequate holding stand. Only one thing to pay attention to is there is no indication whether it is hot/on or cool/off, be careful. I have used it several times already and absolutely recommend it.

Fantastic kit!
This compact mini soldering kit has a nice stand, case and effective tool, along with many accessories, seriously much nicer than expected. Worked well to fix a few things so far. It's very nicely sized for small hands. Heat level was perfect for re-connecting wires.
